Minister for State Development and Infrastructure Grace Grace MP has today announced the appointment of a new independent, skills-based Board for Economic Development Queensland (EDQ). Legislation passed by the Queensland Parliament last month establishes EDQ as a statutory body from 1 July 2024. The EDQ Board appointees are:
- Brendan O'Farrell (Chair)
- Alison Quinn (Deputy Chair)
- Gail Black (Director)
- Julie Boyd (Director)
- Gail Jukes (Director)
- Chris McCluskey (Director)
The Board appointments follow an extensive selection process. EDQ’s remit has been strengthened to support it to deliver more housing supply, including new social and affordable housing. As the state’s land use planning and property development agency, EDQ is working across government and with community housing providers and industry to increase the supply of diverse and affordable housing across Queensland.
