The Economic Development Board is an independent, skills-based group of highly experienced leaders guiding Economic Development Queensland’s (EDQ) strategic direction and ensuring strong leadership and clear decision-making.

Board members are selected through a rigorous process and  bring diverse expertise to support EDQ’s mission of giving Queenslanders a place to call home and enabling economic growth across the state.

The Board’s focus includes:

  • Increasing the supply of homes: Setting the strategic direction for EDQ to unlock land and enable the delivery of more homes for Queenslanders, including social and affordable housing, at pace and scale
  • Driving economic prosperity: Establishing objectives, strategies, and policies that support job creation, investment and economic development through innovative projects and partnerships
  • Building liveable communities: Overseeing the planning and delivery of infrastructure and community developments that create vibrant, resilient places for people across Queensland
  • Ensuring service excellence:  Upholding best practice in governance, financial management, and accountability, and supporting a customer-focused, agile and responsive organisation.

The Economic Development Board plays a critical role in shaping EDQ’s work and delivering outcomes that benefit all Queenslanders.
