You can claim an infrastructure offset from the Minister for Economic Development Queensland (MEDQ) by using the Offset Application Form.

This can be for either a Provisional Infrastructure Offset or a Final Infrastructure offset for infrastructure delivered in the following Priority Development Areas (PDA). When can you claim?

You can apply for an infrastructure offset if:

  • You are required to provide an infrastructure contribution in accordance with conditions of a PDA development approval issued under the Act
  • You want the value of that infrastructure contribution offset against infrastructure charges
  • That contribution involves:
    • Trunk infrastructure (i.e. works contribution and / or land contribution), or
    • Implementation works / infrastructure

Steps to apply

  1. Check eligibility: Review the offset application checklists to ensure you meet eligibility criteria and have all the required documents ready
  2. Complete the form: Download the offset application form, fill it out, and save it
  3. Follow relevant policies: Ensure your application aligns with the relevant EDQ infrastructure offset policies, such as:
    1. Infrastructure Charging Offset Plan (ICOP)
    2. Development Charges and Offset Plan (DCOP)
    3. Infrastructure Funding Framework (IFF), if applicable
  4. Submit your application: Attach the completed form to the online submission form, confirm you meet the eligibility criteria and your claim complies with the relevant policies, then submit it
