Brisbane Street Art Festival 2025 at Northshore Hamilton

A colourful celebration of 10 years

Northshore Hamilton came alive with creativity as the precinct was home to a vibrant program for the 10th anniversary of the Brisbane Street Art Festival (BSAF).

Across two weekends in May, the precinct was transformed by world-class street art, interactive workshops, and the buzz of community engagement — all celebrating a decade of bold expression through urban art.

The celebrations kicked off with BSAF 2025: A Decade in Colour on Saturday 10 May — a spectacular launch event at Superordinary that set the tone for the creative energy to come.

Three striking new murals

Northshore Hamilton supported the creation of three permanent artworks at The Forefront coworking spaces which are due to open to the public on 20 June 2025:

• A large-scale outdoor pavement mural by Sofles, energising the entry with explosive colour and movement
• A bold abstract piece by Simon Degroot near the entry desk
• A signature narrative mural by Fintan Magee near the event space

These works have transformed The Forefront into a living gallery — and they’re here to stay.

Eight creative workshops

Over the two weekends, Northshore Hamilton hosted eight free engaging workshops for all ages, led by experienced street artists. Participants explored a variety of styles — from graffiti lettering and collage to aerosol techniques, still life brushwork, sticker art and kid-friendly paste-up and colour-by-number sessions.

It was a hands-on celebration of creativity, connection and community.

National & international talent at meeting of styles

One of the biggest festival moments was the Meeting of Styles Australia, hosted for the first time in Brisbane at Superordinary. Featuring over 40 Australian and International artists, it was a weekend of live mural painting, music and cultural exchange — a true feast for the senses.

Northshore Hamilton is honoured to have been part of this milestone in BSAF’s history and thank all the artists, organisers and community members who made it so special.
