Songbird Oxley

Situated on the former Oxley Secondary School site, this quiet enclave covers approximately 19ha of site area, with 9ha of land having been reinvigorated back to life for community and residential development. Songbird Oxley has retained over 10ha as open space including rehabilitating more than 3ha of bushland. ​

Just 17km from the CBD, Songbird Oxley is conveniently located 700m from the Oxley train station and 900m from the shopping precinct and at completion will deliver 87 freehold homes on lots ranging in size from 288m² to 4,015m². ​

Each home includes PV solar, battery storage, heat pump hot water system and a power outlet on a separate circuit for a future electric vehicle charger. ​

Songbird Oxley has created a sense of place within a small pocket of peace, promoting slope-responsive home design that complements the natural topography and surrounding bushland.​

In 2023 C&K Yuingi Childcare were successfully relocated from a flood prone centre into a new flood immune centre.​

Still to come at Songbird Oxley is a 150 bed residential aged care facility, proposed over 50s lifestyle village, and a community centre (featuring a café). Combining residents and users of all ages will create the opportunity for ongoing intergenerational programs. ​

Extensive green space, indigenous feature artwork and a pocket park already welcome residents to a new place they can call home, with a nature-based playground and tracks and trails through the retained bushland still to come.
