Housing for Woolloongabba to be fast-tracked
Red tape and other unnecessary costs are set to be reduced to accelerate the delivery of some 16,000 new homes for Woolloongabba.
Under the Queensland Government’s revised Development Scheme, approximately 24,000 Queenslanders are set to find a new home faster and at less cost within the Woolloongabba Priority Development Area (PDA).
The revised Development Scheme capitalises on its proximity to the Brisbane CBD, Kangaroo Point, Southbank, major hospitals and the new Cross River Rail network.
More details regarding the proposed Development Scheme are available here, with the community now invited to have their say by 29 August 2025.
