New housing precinct approved for Greater Flagstone

A major new neighbourhood has been approved within the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area (PDA), unlocking land for more than 1,600 new homes and supporting around 4,500 future residents.

Delivered by national developer Peet, the new precinct forms part of the planned Flagstone development . It will contribute significantly to housing supply in one of South-East Queensland’s fastest-growing corridors.

The development includes:

  • 1,631 residential lots and 9 non-residential lots
  • Land for a future state primary school
  • Regional sport and recreation facilities
  • A new retail and dining precinct
  • A mix of housing types including townhouses and large-lot homes
  • Green corridors contributing to Flagstone’s long-term open space goals

A Plan of Development has been approved to guide future housing delivery and ensure consistent, high-quality design outcomes. It sets parameters for building height, setbacks, materials and fencing across the new lots.

Construction is expected to commence in August 2025, with first homes anticipated by mid-2026.

This latest approval supports the continued growth of the Flagstone PDA, which is planned to be home to around 120,000 residents and deliver over 30,000 jobs across its lifetime. It also reflects EDQ’s ongoing commitment to unlocking land and enabling housing delivery in high-demand areas across Queensland.
