Australia Post Distribution Centre coming to Sunshine Coast Industrial Park
Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) is pleased to announce that Australia Post will be moving into the Sunshine Coast Industrial Park (SCIP) in Caloundra - supporting local jobs and boosting the region’s economy.
Settlement on the 2.8-hectare site provides space for a multimillion-dollar purpose-built facility that will become Australia Post’s central delivery hub for the Sunshine Coast.
The development will include a15,100m² warehouse and 1,000m² office space

Supporting Local Jobs
Construction is expected to support around 200 jobs, with the completed facility accommodating approximately 150 Australia Post staff relocating from other sites across the Sunshine Coast. These roles span logistics, warehousing, administration and customer service - contributing to the stability of local employment and supporting the regional workforce.
Enabling Regional Growth
The project is being delivered by Metro Property Group and Australia Post, with support from Sunshine Coast Council, which approved the Development Application. SCIP was selected for its central location within the region’s logistics network, enabling more efficient operations and supporting long-term growth.
Project Timeline
Construction commenced in September, with completion anticipated by late 2026, weather permitting.
