Your team – Development Services
Development Services uses the wide-ranging powers of the Economic Development Act 2012 to deliver housing, commercial and industrial development outcomes for Queensland. You will be part of a connected, accountable, impactful and nimble team that is working to enable transformative developments across the State with pace and scale.
Development Services comprises a mix of planning, urban design, built form, engineering and commercial professionals responsible for the identification and implementation of the state’s PDAs and Accelerated Development Opportunity sites and precincts.
Working closely with EDQ’s Housing Supply and Delivery team and industry, Development Services will enable new housing, commercial and mixed-use development across Queensland through planning, development approvals and a significant infrastructure funding program to ensure the right infrastructure is delivered in the right place, at the right time to accelerate the supply of development ready land.
Your contribution
As a Senior Planner you will:
- Provide specialist strategic or statutory land use planning advice and services to facilitate outcomes.
- Prepare professional written information, interpretations, briefings, presentations and reports.
- Work with stakeholders to facilitate timely and high-quality strategic or statutory land use planning outcomes.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of communication and negotiation strategies in stakeholder engagement processes.
- Assess, evaluate, analyse and provide recommendations on strategic and complex land use planning and development assessment matters.
- Assist in the preparation of advice with respect to the Economic Development Act 2012 and other relevant strategic land use planning related policy instruments.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Foster collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and communities of practice.
- Support others within own area of expertise to promote knowledge sharing.
