Your team – Housing Supply and Delivery
The Housing Supply and Delivery team works with key industry partners and stakeholders to facilitate delivery of housing development projects in a way which supports EDQ strategic priorities including housing supply, economic prosperity and liveable places.
These projects are primarily delivering development ready land suitable for the private sector to deliver housing. These projects include large multi-year residential and mixed-use projects (ranging in size from $10m over 1-2 years to $3b over 30 years).
You will lead a multidisciplinary team of property professionals with clear directions to secure sites across Queensland to support EDQ’s housing pipeline and then bringing those into delivery phase.
Your contribution
As Project Manager, Housing Supply and Delivery, you are responsible for managing projects, with a focus on front end/acquisition and investigation of projects, through to business case approval and early implementation.
- Effectively manage the delivery of multiple construction projects (infrastructure and building) of varying sizes and complexities within development projects, including:
- prepare for review and approval, project budgets and delivery programs (in line with the approved business case), including necessary information to support assumptions
- manage the delivery of various construction project types within the approved budget and program
- plan and deliver project and construction procurement
- prepare and manage delivery programs
- prepare and manage cost plans and/or budgets
- prepare briefs for design consultants and contractors
- effective procurement/contracting
- prepare, coordinate and negotiate all project/construction applications and approvals (including operational works) with relevant authorities
- monitor construction market conditions and trends
- ensure integration of construction delivery with activation and development strategies
- participate in and, at times, manage the handover of assets to the relevant authority.
- Effectively manage consultants ensuring appropriate project governance and risk management, adherence to agreed timeframe, budget and quality parameters.
- Contribute to a working environment which exemplifies professionalism in performance, integrity and respect for others.
- Manage relevant stakeholder relationships, and participate in community engagement (including with neighbouring landowners), consultation and negotiations with various levels of government and development partners to gain to ensure successful project delivery and outcomes.
- Work with the Development Manager or Senior Development Manager to set the procurement strategy and identify any opportunities for innovation.
- Manage the procurement, tender preparation and assessment, and contract preparation and negotiation process, ensuring that the commercial interests of EDQ are protected.
- Prepare and present high-quality monthly project reports.
- Advocate for and ensure the effective implementation of a zero-harm safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with legislative and other governance obligations, including departmental and project reporting, correspondence and document management.
