Electronic Development Assessment (eDA) is a service provided by the state which is used by several councils to support the preparation, lodgement and processing of development applications (where council is the assessment manager).
If the state is the assessment manager, applicants must lodge through MyDAS.
Please note the eDA service is only available between 8 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday.
Replacement solution for eDA
eDA sits on an electronic platform which is approaching 'end of life'. After compiling user requirements, the government has decided to build eDA's 'application preparation' function into MyDAS; with other eDA functionality (e.g. payment, lodging to council and tracking of applications) not supported beyond the commencement of the Planning Act 2016 on 3 July 2017.The application preparation functionality to be built within MyDAS will allow applicants to complete an application, which will be packaged into a zip file, ready to send directly to council who is the assessment manager. Payment will need to be made directly to council and application tracking will no longer be available through the eDA system.

To use eDA you will need to use a computer with the following software:
- Internet Explorer version 7 or later, or Firefox version 3 or later (PC or Mac)
- Adobe Reader version 9.0 or higher is required to enable the eForms to function properly. Adobe Reader can be downloaded free from www.adobe.com.
